Annual Return

Annual return for the year ended 31 March 2016.

By law, every smaller authority in England with an annual turnover of £6.5 million or less must complete an Annual Return summarising its activities. This must be made available on the authority’s website on a set date, known as a “commencement of the period for the exercise of public rights”. 20th June 2016 is the date selected for Atworth Parish Council.

Flooding and Emergency Equipment Container

The Parish Council have purchased and installed a container to hold emergency equipment such as bedding and blankets for use in a public emergency. The container is located in Atworth Business Park, and we are especially grateful to Sky Interiors (Units 6/7) for their invaluable support in this. The container itself was purchased from Portable Space Ltd of Suffolk, who have proven to be very supportive throughout, and was assembled in one day by Cllr. Alan Lee, “ably” supported by your Clerk (plus some helping hands from Sky Interiors when it came to doing the lifting), the entire project being overseen by the Chairman of the Parish Council, Effie Gale-Sides.
